Born is one of London's best baby boutiques

Evening Standard Masthead

Last week the Evening Standard newspaper in London voted Born as one of London's top 5 baby boutiques.  We were overjoyed to be given this accolade and have been sharing it with our friends as it's fantastic to be recognised like this.

If you love us please share it with your friends too so they can experience why we are in the top 5.  If the Evening Standard thinks we are good enough for The Duchess of Cambridge and Kim Kardashian, then we must be doing somthing right!

With love

Festival 'Must Haves'

Festivals with KidsWith Glastonbury in the next few days, the Festival Season will soon be well and truly upon us.  We often get customers stopping by en-route to pick up those essential items that we think are 'must haves' for babies and toddlers when out all day (and night) in the great British weather.  Below are some of our suggestions and items we have found invaluable when at festivals with our own children:

Sun Screen  Even if it's not scorching hot, if your child is out all day it's best to cover them with sun protection. We recommend Green People's Sun lotion and After Sun.

Birth Journeys Birth Preparation with Karen Woods

Karen Woods MidwifeKaren is a Midwife and 'Birthing From Within' Birth Preparation Mentor.  She also practices 'Birth Story Listening' - a form of post birth support and healing based on the telling of the Birth Story.

Here Karen tells us about her new Inspiring Birth Preparation course taking place this  June & July 2013 (4 weeks) in central Bristol

~ Eva

For me, one of the main challenges in Birth Preparation is supporting women and their partners to become 'confident' in the process of birth, whilst at the same time, assisting them in being able to remain 'open' to the unexpected or perhaps unwished for events that can occasionally arise during birth.  An open, relaxed approach reduces fear, and quite simply, this helps women to open!

Manduca baby carrier with free sucking pads

Manduca Baby Carrier The Manduca Baby Carrier is a fabulous soft structured baby carrier that is suitable to use from birth. For a limited period, with every carrier sold you will receive a free set of strap protectors.  It's really common for babies to suck or chew the straps on their carrier, so having these pads means you don't have to wash the whole carrier every time they decide on a nibble.
